Sandhurst's 137-9 was built from a busy top order, with Shyam Shrestha making 33, Nihit Gupta 32 and Arjuna Ranaweera 23. Binfield kept dragging the innings back, and Cowley was the reason.
His four overs brought 5-16, including three of the last four wickets to fall. Chris White added 2-29 and Abinandan Venkatraman took 1-27, so the Midweek 2s walked off with a chase still in sight.
Jack Green and Tony Smith both made 28 in the reply, with Tom Phizackerley adding 16 and Venkatraman 12. The asking rate kept nipping up, though, and Sandhurst's bowlers protected the gap well enough to leave Binfield 23 short.
