Binfield Cricket Club Committee squad

Committee

President : Ian Foster

Once the Chairman, now the President, been playing at Binfield since 1923! Seems that long anyway. I've had the privelage of playing at the club for may summers and with some very talented players and although slow, development of the club is always positive. I look forward to a few more playing years yet and seeing the club grow into a top quality village one.

Chairman : Andy Bryant

Following a stunning bowling debut and known for his explosive acceleration whilst batting -has penciled in 2018 to step up to take the vacant all rounder position.. for the new 4th team. Currently celebrating longest period of time officially non-injured. Polite barman.

Often pulls a hamstring halfway through the season, might be due to his love of the sweep shot. Gets by on not alot of sleep, loves a commute

Grounds & 2nd XI Captain : Paul Edgington

Been at the club for far too many years!!! And still counting. I am slowly moving down the teams, occasionally scoring some runs and taking a wicket or two. I once dropped a catch to deny my favorite cricketer a career first 5fer. Can often be found wondering about looking for Will Guest, wanting to give him a hug. He loves them.

Regular passenger on the Satuday night Rum Train!

Resident groundsman , so please keep off the grass!

Junior Coordinator : Rob Carson

Head of the BBC Junior Section, often found in the nets giving throw downs to anyone who wants them. Right arm swing bowler who once got the 'yips' during an over......it was a very very long over!

Fixtures Secretary : Matt Humphrey

Wannabe cricketer.

Left hand bat, no good outside off stump but brilliant of my legs or if you bowl straight at me. Old time wicket keeper can't bend knees anymore! Being playing at club for 38 years and still counting

Friendly XI Captain : Chris Jones

Babysitter of drunkards! Lord of Designated Daves and Sunday Skipper. Chris is the resident Saffa-Kenyan.

Specialist ground fielder (as he cannot catch) who can bat and bowl a little.

He is keen as mustard and a little strange but he grows on you...with much persistence on his part.

Midweek XI Captain : Jack Collett

Colt of the year 2012.
Off-Spinner, who often gets wickets with full-tosses or half trackers.
