This was a proper all-round away win. Purley won the toss and asked Binfield to bat, but Chris Morgan's 61 and Sam Kennett's 64 gave the innings a strong spine after the early loss of Harry Maxfield.

James Frost then stayed calm for 35 not out, with Jack Collett also there at the close, as Binfield reached 218-6 from their 50 overs. Play-Cricket records Morgan's fifty from 56 balls and Kennett's from 90, a useful mix of pressure and patience.

Purley never found the same platform. Frost struck twice at the top, Ben Clark's 4-23 took out the middle, and Kennett completed his double act with 4-10 from 5.3 overs. Chris Rackley carried his bat for 48, but Binfield had the rest of the card under lock.
