Binfield returned to winning ways with a hard-fought 35 run victory over visitors Taplow. Taplow captain, Ollie Brown, won the toss and after some hesitation invited Binfield to bat first on a damp wicket following overnight rain. Binfield openers, Michael Carson and Adam Marshall, made steady progress against the opening attack of Brown and Nilam to put on 78 for the first wicket before Carson was dismissed for a typically aggressive 44. He was shortly followed by Marshall for 16 as Binfield slumped to 97 for 5 due to a fine spell of bowling by Raj who took four of the five wickets to fall. Jason Lynch (17) and Adam Carson (31) started the rebuilding process and further useful contributions from Matt Hayman (23) and James Wright (23) allowed Binfield to reach a below par total of 187 all out from 47 overs. All Taplow's bowlers bowled well with Perera also claiming four wickets although Taplow will be disappointed having dropped a few chances in the outfield.

Binfield got the dream start they required as Taplow's regular run scorer Nilam was caught by Rob Carson off the bowling of Michael Carson for just 10 runs before James Wright dismissed Taplow's other opener, Dominic Spencer, for 6. Perera (17) and Goodrham (46) repaired the damage before Binfield took the new ball turned to regular opening bowler Barney Sykes. Sykes proceeded to claim the remaining eight wickets to return career best bowling figures of 8 for 30 from 11 overs. Only Mills with 41 offering any further substantial resistance as Taplow's innings subsided to 152 all out.

Binfield moved up to third place in the table but with only a handful of points separating the top four teams there's still all to play for over the remainder of the season.
