Binfield 1st XI returned to winning ways with a 6 wicket win over visitors Denham. Denham won the toss and batted first and posted a very respectable total of 254 for 9 from their full allocation of 52 overs. Bowry with 52 and Mahmood with 72 both batted well and there were useful contributions from the rest of the team. Barney Sykes with 4 for 75 from 15 overs and Tony Boad 3 for 47 from 11 overs did the bulk of the damage for the home side. In reply, Binfield lost both openers with just 20 on the board but a third wicket partnership between Michael Carson and Jason Lynch laid the foundations for the victory. Lynch was eventually dismissed for 66 and his replacement Barney Sykes carried on the good work to score a quick 65. Carson remained unbeaten on 105 as Binfield reached 255 for 4 from 39 overs.
