Theale's innings was a large one from the moment Jihan Mishra and Waqas Ahmed got set. Mishra made 75, Ahmed retired not out on 133, and late runs from J Jackson and Baber Hussain pushed the visitors to 333-5 from their 50 overs.
Binfield kept working for wickets, with Kennett taking 2-54 and James Frost, Elliot Coggins and Ben Clark each striking once. The target still asked for a near-perfect reply.
Lamprecht's 54 gave that reply its main platform and Morgan's 45 kept the 1st XI moving. Coggins and Frost both made 30, Rob Pigden added 12 from number 11, but Theale had enough scoreboard weight to win by 100.
