Overseas Visitors
Welcome to Binfield Cricket Club, surely one of the friendliest
cricket clubs in England!
The UK
is obviously a favourite destination for youngsters from all over the
world taking time off before going to University or simply chilling out
for a year or two. Thousands of travellers arrive each year, particularly
from Australia,
New Zealand
and South Africa,
and many of them base themselves in London
and the South East.
If you are planning to come to the UK
and are keen to play some cricket while you're here, we'd be delighted to
see you at Binfield Cricket Club. We're located about 30 miles west of London
(45 minutes by car or train), 2 miles from Bracknell,
8 miles from Reading and 9
miles from Windsor.
We run two competitive league sides on a Saturday in the Chilterns
League, and we play friendly(ish) fixtures on a Sunday, so you can choose
which type of cricket you want to play. Some club members play on both
days. We also enter a team into the Bracknell Evening Midweek League and
Cup, which is a bit like twenty-twenty cricket (if you know what that
is!).
We also run winter net sessions each year, usually from about January
until late April. Details for 2008 will appear here on the web site
before Christmas.
If you're interested in coming over
and playing cricket for us, please don't hesitate to drop us a line.
Please note we DO NOT pay any players
for playing cricket.
